About Cuttlestones Auctioneers and Valuers

With sale rooms in both Penkridge and Wolverhampton, Cuttlestones is a progressive firm of Auctioneers and Valuers that serves the whole of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, the West Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent and beyond, and is dedicated to providing first-class customer service while drawing on over 100 years’ combined industry experience.

The team’s broad knowledge covers areas as diverse as furniture, silver, watches, jewellery, glass, ceramics, militaria, toys, books, maps, paintings, clocks, barometers and general collectables; with Country House Sales a speciality. For more unusual items, Cuttlestones has forged relationships with expert consultants all across the country with a particular focus on stamps, jewellery, coins and militaria and hosts regular Fine Art and Specialist Collectors’ Sales.

Cuttlestones was established in 2007, when MD and Head Auctioneer Ben Gamble acquired the business having worked at Penkridge’s Pinfold Lane sales rooms since 1993. He re-launched under the ‘Cuttlestones’ standard, and since the business has gone from strength to strength; becoming a respected player on the Midlands’ art and antiques scene. In 2011, Cuttlestones expanded to launch its Wolverhampton Sale Room; breathing life back into a once thriving city centre auction house that had lain dormant for several years, and bringing the winning Cuttlestones formula to the West Midlands.

Embracing the past, present and future

In today’s ever-evolving world of multi-media, whether buying or selling, the challenge is finding a trading platform that offers the best returns for you. Via this website, a live internet bidding service and a comprehensive on and off-line marketing strategy, Cuttlestones is continually developing to provide that platform, while maintaining its commitment to excellent customer service.
