Local auction house Cuttlestones, which has sale rooms in both Penkridge and Wolverhampton, is set to host its first two-day Fine Art and Antiques Sale next week.
Due to the unprecedented number of high quality items consigned for sale in its September Fine Art sale in Penkridge, the sale has been extended to run over two days. From 7pm on Thursday 13th September items including vintage clothing & textiles, vintage & costume jewellery, fine jewellery and watches will be auctioned, while Friday 14th will see the sale of silver, ceramics, art, furniture and all other items. MD and Head Auctioneer, Ben Gamble, says:
“Over the past few months we’ve been inundated with items to sell that are of sufficient quality for our Fine Art auction, so the September sale has a bumper catalogue. With so many lots, it was a natural progression to split the sale and run it over two days and we’re really looking forward to our first two-day Fine Art auction.
“We’ve all been working hard over the past twelve months, not only to get the Wolverhampton sale room established but to keep on building the profile of Cuttlestones as a leading regional auction house and it seems to be paying off. Our investment in the website and the fact that our major sales have live online bidding as an option means that we can reach a global bidding audience and we can really hold our own against the ‘big boys’ in the auction world.”
Cuttlestones’ first two-day Fine Art and Antiques auction will take place on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th September at its Penkridge sale room, with viewing from 10am – 7pm on the Thursday. The catalogue will be available to preview online at www.cuttlestones.co.uk where you can also find information on the company’s range of services; including valuations, sale by auction and house clearances.
