Cash In The Attic's Paul Hayes

Penkridge-based auctioneers and valuers Cuttlestones is set to feature yet again on the BBC’s ‘Cash in the Attic’, with the cameras set to return to film during the Friday, 5th March Fine Art and Antique sale.

The filming will take place just two days after the 3rd March airing of the firm’s first Cash in the Attic appearance. Filmed during the November Fine Art Sale, the episode due to go out next week featured celebrity contestant former BBC Radio DJ Liz Kershaw who auctioned off items to raise funds for her chosen charity.

This time round, rather than celebrities raising funds for charities, the contestants will have invited presenter Jenny Bond and her team of antiques experts to search their homes for possessions to sell at auction that will allow them to free up the cash to do something they’ve always wanted. MD and auctioneer at Cuttlestones, Ben Gamble, says:

We’re delighted that Cash in the Attic is returning to Cuttlestones – filming was great fun and the auction room had a real buzz. We’re looking forward to seeing what the contestants bring along and wish them the best of luck in reaching their cash targets.

The TV lots will be added to an already impressive catalogue of silver, furniture, jewellery and ceramics under the hammer at the Friday, 5th March Fine Art and Antiques sale.

The sale catalogue will be available at www.cuttlestones.co.uk from Friday 26th February, with viewing on Thursday 4th March from 10am and the morning of the sale from 9am. The sale starts at 10am on Friday, 5th March at Cuttlestones’ Penkridge sale room with live internet bidding, commission bids and telephone bidding services available for those unable to attend.
