FINE ART AND ANTIQUE SALE - 10th DECEMBER 2007
PRESS RELEASE
Cuttlestones Auctioneers of Penkridge will be harnessing a unusual part of their expertise for their next Fine Art and Antique Sale, due to take place at the Penkridge Auction Rooms at 11:30am on Monday 10th December. They have two horse carriages for sale, from Longnor Hall near Church Stretton in Shropshire, which are bound to attract interest from both equestrians and collectors alike. One is a 4 wheel ‘Ralli’ style carriage and the other a traditional Governess Cart, in excellent condition.
Other interesting items entered for the sale include a considerable private collection of Coalport, Royal Doulton and Royal Worcester, Mason’s Mandalay, a Beswick Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip Trooping The Colour, a Beswick Dairy Shorthorn Cow & Calf, and Mr Pricklepin, a rare piece in the Royal Albert Beatrix Potter series. There is also a selection of Irish Art, which is very much in favour at the moment. As always there is Silver, Paintings, Jewellery and a strong section of Antique and good quality Modern Furniture, including five Longcase clocks.
For details of the carriages, please contact Cuttlestones’ Shropshire representative, Mr: Greville Handbury-Madin, on 01743 860489.
