Cuttlestones’ professional valuation services are offered to both direct to members of the public and on behalf of professionals such as solicitors. From assessing and valuing the contents of an entire property through to individual items we offer a discreet service and an honest, upfront valuation whether for the purposes of insurance, sale or for probate/family divisions.

Cuttlestones can also provide a complete service to assist in tax and inheritance planning; offering an accurate assessment of the value of items which, in turn, enables the necessary steps to be taken to protect assets.
 
We can also undertake valuations of items due for sale by private treaty (i.e. sold under agreement between two parties without going to auction); providing valuable, impartial advice on an item’s value.

Valuations by Email

If you’re unable to make it to one of our regular valuation sessions why not take advantage of our online valuation service? It’s as simple as taking a few digital photos and sending us an email. We are happy to value furniture, ceramics, jewellery, silver and paintings by email images. Please follow the below guidelines to ensure we are able to provide you with as accurate a valuation as possible:

1) Take as detailed photograph as possible. If photographing paintings then try to get an image of any signatures.
2) Download images on to your computer ideally no bigger than 500 kb.
3) Then send them through to valuations@cuttlestones.co.uk.
4) Please include as much information about the pictures. Dimensions, history etc.
5) Please include all contact details including telephone numbers.
