Sale Report: Specialist Collectors’ Sale, Wolverhampton, Friday 10th September 2021

Wednesday, 15 September, 2021

Fielding a catalogue just shy of 300 lots and covering sections including watches, coins & banknotes, antiquarian books, advertising ephemera, comics, maps, radio equipment, sporting memorabilia – and pretty much everything in between - last week’s online only specialist collectors’ sale attracted some 300 registered bidders.

The diversity of lots going under the hammer was reflected in the sale’s highlights – with Chinese art, stamps, radio equipment, coins, paintings and books all featured in the top ten. As well as individual standout lots, a collection of radio equipment - which included WWII radio receivers, a large number of valves and other spares - made a total hammer price of £3,800. Folio Society Books also performed well; with 13 lots fetching a total hammer price of £1,700
